PEPSearch enables you to search politically exposed persons (PEP) and people who are related to PEP. If you are entity required to follow anti-money laundering law, you need to check if your customer is a politically exposed person or if your customer is related/connected to a politically exposed person. MK law says if you go to a bank, saving houses, credit union, lender provider, brocerage, lease  provider, investment fund management company, life insurance, currency exchange, crypto, or also go to a casino, bookmaker, gambling club, lottery etc, or notary, law firm, audit firm, accounting and bookkeeper, or go to a real estate for an items over 10.000 eur, or Auctions and Art Trade, or pawn shops, all of these need to check you if you are politicaly exposed person, or you are a person connected / related to a politically exposed person. 

All above mention entities today are doing this manually, searching on the net, google-ing, or some of them also give you a form where you need to say if you are a PEP or not. In practice, this is not good solution, cause you rely on person input and some of them even don't know that they are PEP according to AML law, or maybe he knows, but does not know that he is also active PEP for 2 years more after he is dismissed or resigned the political function. 

PEPSearch solves this problem!

PEPSearch collect data from the Anti-Corruption Commission, Minutes from Government Plenary Meetings, Materials from the National Parliament, State Election Commission, as well as State Official Gazette where all the information for appointments and dismissals of officials comes. All of these data is available through name search or batch on the pep.mk platform or API endpoints. 

With Metricity platform from 2017 година up to 2022, we collected information from Anti-Corruption Commission, Government, National Parliament, State Election Commission, as well as State Official Gazette , totally of 14 535 appointed functions from 2201 institutions. According to Government Financial Intelligence Unit - FIU (institution incharge for this) 244 institutions  are eligible, and our system currently holds 1200 appointed functions  based on FUI call. 

PEPSearch updates data on a daily level, and send you notification if PEP Status has been changed for your customer. 

You are able to search using name keyword on macedonian, albanian and english language.  PDF Report is generated for you and you will get email notification too. 

You are also enabled to use our API interface and get the data in json format.
